In the past several months, our firm hosted a series of seminars for young physicians. The lectures were held at various residency programs including North Shore LIJ, Lenox Hill, Zucker Hillside Hospital, and Jamaica Hospital Medical Center. The seminars concentrated on major legal issues facing physicians entering independent professional practice. The goal of this educational series was to educate young physicians on how to maximize their potential in the formative years of their careers while protecting their bottom line and avoiding common risks associated with private practice. The seminars also briefly touched upon the potential benefits and detriments to young physicians brought about by the sweeping health care reform laws. Our firm's health care attorneys Kristina Giyaur, Esq. and Alec Sauchik, Esq. presented the lecture series.
